If you know anything about those seven energy centers called chakras, that run you’re your midline, you probably know how good it can feel to be balanced and restored.
Reiki healers are a great resource to help you work through issues, but sometimes it can be hard to find them, you may not be able to afford it, or other times you just need tune ups in between sessions.
I came across a book called, “Intuitive Self-Healing” by Marie Manucheri. She is a nurse who took a different path and became a reiki healer. Turns out she is a Seattle local, which is even cooler since she’s so close to home.
Her book runs through each chakra, tells you its function, some stories from clients she’s worked with, and several exercises you can do to help balance them.
I read through her book and decided to grab a few techniques from each chakra and create a short, concise guide on how to perform a self-healing of your chakras. I originally did this only for myself, so that I wouldn’t have to browse each chapter when implementing this routine, but I decided this would fit well on my blog, and better yet, help some of you connect and heal yourself.
I will go through each chakra and give you an exercise or two you can do to help find peace and clarity. If you don’t know much about your chakras and their functions, I recommend doing some research before trying these techniques. I feel if you understand why it’s working, it tends to be more effective.
Root Chakra Reset:
Exercise #1: Stomp barefoot, outside if you can, while punching your fists down towards the earth chanting, “I deserve to be here, and I live in joy.”
Exercise #2: Sit with a straight back, feet planted on the earth, in a chair or other comfortable seat. Relax. Visualize chakras in your feet (yes you have them there too!) spinning, growing roots to the center of the earth. Once they reach the center, imagine the roots pulling earth energy up and through your body.
Sacral Chakra Reset:
Exercise #3: Stand up tall and straight. Circle hips in on direction and then the other. Do this one minute on each side.
Exercise #4: Find a place you can be alone and won’t disrupt others. Throw a full-on temper tantrum. Punch and kick the ground or yell into a pillow until you are tired.
Exercise #5: Lie on your back. Place your dominant hand on your chakra, right below the belly button. Repeat mantra: “I have always done the very best I could with what I knew at the time” ten times.
Solar Plexus Chakra Reset:
Exercise #6: Stand up tall. Reach your arms out to each side. Keep your hips stationary, while moving your torso back and forth for one minute. This is essentially bowing forward and backwards. (if you are confused like I was.)
Exercise #7: Place your dominant hand on your chakra, right above the belly button. Repeat the mantra, “Everyday in every way, my self-love deepens. I am a happy healthy person and I will always be successful” ten times.
Heart Chakra Reset:
Exercise #8: Use all eight fingers to tap mid-sternum, focusing on calming anxiety and aligning with universal love.
Exercise #9: Practice receiving love. Meditate on the feeling of a warm rain falling on your back and soaking into your body. You can also do this in the shower, physically, with warm water.
Throat Chakra Reset:
Exercise #10: To receive empowering energy, speak out loud in a made up languages. Really focus on these sounds coming from your gut and throat.
Third Eye Chakra Reset:
Exercise #11: Keep your head still. Make large circles with just your eyes, one way, then the other. Next, look ceiling to floor. Lastly, left to right. Keep your head still for each direction, 15 seconds each way.
Exercise #12: Become present. Use your physical awareness of your body, to feel textures, as you encounter them in the space around you.
Crown Chakra Reset:
Exercise #13: To generate unconditional love, tap the top of your head with all ten fingers. Close your eyes and imagine warm light flooding the top of your head. Think of something or someone you feel a deep love for. Mix that feeling with the warm light and transform it into self-love.
Exercise #14: To connect to your spirit, read the following words aloud, “In this world and all others, I am cherished beyond measure. Within this bright light of awareness, I allow my natural gifts to rise into my consciousness and provide healing to myself and all beings through out the universe. Aho!”
With that 14th and final exercise, that wraps up your chakra reset! Do this as often or little as you’d like! Take as much, or as little time as you may need for each practice. If you enjoyed this article, check out the book! There is much more detailed information that is amazing to help you heal your energy!
As always, I send you all my love and wish nothing but the best for you all! Me-owt!
